HEREFORDSHIRE'S APPROACH TO THE CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) PANDEMIC
We continue to work within national guidelines and local polices during this time.
It is vitally important that you continue to follow GOvernment advice regarding hand washing and self-isolation / social distancing. For full details, please visit the Government's website (https://www.gov.uk/coronavirus)
In order to protect our healthcare staff, patients and the general public (in particular the most vulnerable members of society), please be aware that we are changing the way that Herefordshire General Practice operates during the crisis.
In particular, anyone needing an appointment will first be spoken to on the phone or via video. This will help to protect vulnerable patients, staff and the wider population. For the vast majority of cases, this will be sufficient to diagnose and advise on the issue. Face-to-face consultations will be continue to occur if a clinician feels they are necessary. We continue to build up services such as nurse appointments and blood tests on a step by step approach.
The changes are necessary given the serious situation we are facing and to ensure that GP services are as resilient as possible during this pandemic.
Have health advice from our Our Online Consult page that is accessed here. Online Consult allows patients to easily seek 24/7 support or access self-help advice, either for themselves or for those in their care and may even save you a face to face consultation. You will have access to 200 videos and over 75 forms that have been written, recorded and approved by a team of Doctors with over 20 years experience and Patient.info's clinical director, Dr Sarah Jarvis. Click on LEARN MORE below to get access.
Please note - all online consult forms submitted to the practice will be dealt with within 2 working days. These forms are not monitored over the weekends and bank holidays and are for NON URGENT queries only. For urgent help please contact the surgery.
